Katie is a multi- instrumentalist. Her primary instrument being the cello. As a solo artist, she released her first EP in 2014, The Temptation of St. Anthony. She is the founding member and tours and performs with the indie folk-rock band ‘The Accidentals’.
The Accidentals have composed music for The Traverse City Symphony Orchestra, and arranged music in collaboration with Son Lux for an opera dance project.
They have shared a stage with Ben Sollee, and opened for acts including The Wailers, Rusted Root, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dar Williams, Andrew Bird, Brandi Carlile, The Duhks, Sixto Rodriguez, and more.
The Accidentals recorded/arranged strings for 15 other artists albums including E Minor’s Album “Dust Out of Sand”, The Way Down Wanderer’s single “Dead Birds”, Miriam Pico’s album “Miriam Pico”, Blake Elliot’s album “Feeling Right Now”,
The Accidentals have released 4 albums and just signed a 4 album production agreement with singer-songwriter Marshall Crenshaw and Grammy winning music producer and recording engineer Stewart Lerman.
