Buffi Jacobs is a cellist, composer, arranger and music contractor that resides in New York City.

Her solo album debut, Solitary Contemplations, is scheduled for release in 2023.  It was mostly written and recorded during the pandemic and is comprised of solo cello loops and effects.  Solo shows will be announced in the spring.

In addition to her solo career, Jacobs collaborates with other artists writing arrangements and orchestrations for studio albums, live performances, scoring for podcasts, commercials and film and tv.  She also subs on broadway.

As a session cellist, she has performed and or recorded with The Polyphonic Spree, Elle King, Old 97’s, Joshua Ray Walker, Daniel Hart, Nicole Atkins, Sarah Jaffe, Bill Callahan, John Grant, Maggie Koerner, The Baptist Generals, Anna Calvi, The Swans, Explosions in the Sky, Need To Breathe, Centro-Matic, Wild Child, Kaela Sinclair, Robert Gomez, Redeye, Frank Turner, Zachary Williams and many more.
