Claire Courchene has over 28 years of experience on a multitude of instruments including cello, Trombone, Bass, Piano, Violin and Vocals. Starting cello at age 2 and trombone at age 7, Claire received double Bachelor of Music performance degrees in cello and jazz trombone from the University of Miami.
From age 19, Claire has toured the world on cello, trombone, keys, and vocals with many big artists, including Kanye West, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Josh Groban, Macy Gray, Rhye, Leona Lewis, and Frank Ocean.
Claire has many TV credits including being a Member of the house band on NBC’s ‘Hollywood Game Night’ since 2015, as well as member of the house band for the BET Awards for 2 seasons.
Claire was a featured soloist for The Twilight: Breaking Dawn movie.
Claire is extremely passionate about composing & sound design. In particular, she really enjoys the challenge and collaboration of working in film. With several feature films under her belt both with indie and major studios, multiple short films, and a TV pilot, it hasn’t taken her long to develop her unique sound.
In addition to film and TV work, Claire has also shared some releases as an artist that demonstrate her unique style as standalone works. Claire’s solo EPs are available worldwide on most streaming services.
In 2021, Claire was nominated for an Ekko Award for her film score, Dobbletgænger. Claire has also appeared on and/or written music for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Glee, Hollywood Game Night, Jimmy Kimmel Live, American Idol, The Voice, BET Awards, Twilight and many others.
