I chose my NS instrument as a way to lighten my load on the road without sacrificing the rich sound of cello. I needed an electric cello that could hold its own without needing to drown it in effects. The CR-5 stood out with its impeccable natural tone, making it the clear winner among electric cellos. Plus, its compact size made touring a breeze compared to lugging around my primary instrument.—Keith Tutt II
